OLD MELROSE BRIDGE





The exquisite arch of Old Melrose Bridge erected in 1762 from local sandstone and known locally as "Bottle Bridge".  The patterned stonework on this arch in contrasting colours is understated and characteristic of the aesthetic apex achieved by classic Georgian architecture.
