These muddy beaches are expected to disappear within 50 years as the sea levels in the Bristol Channel rise. However for the moment the numerous worm casts on the the surface of the mud show that this area is a convenient snack bar for fish such as sea bass and the various flatfish that come swimming and floundering in on the second highest tide in the world.
